Office Nails: Corail Colisee and Red Bikini

Like sheers and neutrals, red nail polish is a classic. From the dark, deep reds favored by Old Hollywood to the bright reds sported by models during Moschino’s Fall 2012 RTW show, there’s a red for every skin tone and style.

Since it’s summertime, and nothing screams hot quite like a bright red, here are two bright reds with fun undertones that will complete your summer look.

La Laque Couture in N 4 Corail Colisee by Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent launched its La Laque Couture collection this past spring and N 4 Corail Colisee is a standout shade. The bright coral-tinged red (click here to see how it looks when worn) is simultaneously classic and current, with the coral tone making it a more summery shade. At $25, it’s definitely pricey, but it’s a color you can continue to wear through most of the year.

You can purchase YSL nail polish online and at department stores across the country.

Red Bikini by Revlon

Revlon’s Bikini Red, costing approximately $5 a bottle, is an affordable alternative to Corail Colisee. Designed by makeup artist Gucci Westman as part of her summer collection for Revlon, Bikini Red (click here to see how it looks when worn) is a warm red with orange undertones; it actually looks like a more reddish version of  Tangerine Tango, the Pantone Color of the Year.

You can purchase Revlon nail polishes at supermarkets and drugstores across the country.
